Local 300 Ratifies New Contract

Ballots were counted today at NAGE headquarters for the ratification of Local 300's three-year collective bargaining agreement. Eighty-four percent of the members voting approved the new contract, which runs from July 2007 through June 2010.
"Overall, we're happy with the contract," said Local 300 President Carol Fitzpatrick. "Members are especially pleased that the contract allows us to join the NAGE Health &Welfare Trust Fund. We also received a $1,000 bonus."
The NAGE Health &Welfare Trust Fund provides dental, vision, and dependent care benefits.
Members of Local 300 are employed in the revenue operations division of the UMass Medical School.
